Creational Law Empty
PostSubject: Creational Law   Creational Law EmptySat Jun 29, 2013 10:44 pm

When God created the Heavens and the Earth, according to Genesis 1 & 2, He established the way creation is to operate. All things in creation had a purpose. The sun had the purpose of being a ruler by day, the moon to be a ruler by night, etc., which continues today.

When God created mankind, He created male and female, and told them to be fruitful and multiply. The concept of male and female and the purpose of male and female was established as a part of creation and has established that as part of Creational Law. Creational Law governs all creation, not just a small part of creation, i.e. believers. Homosexuality plainly violates Creational Law of the creational purpose of mankind. Which, by the way, so does birth control and abortion.

Further, I believe that all of God's laws are based on Creational Law. The first principle of Creational Law is that there is a Creator whom we call God. And all creation acknowledges the Creator, by fulfilling their creational purpose. Even roaches fulfill their creational purpose, and so should mankind. Man's creational purpose is to be fruitful and multiply, and to obey the Creator. I know this because man was told to be fruitful and multiply, and he was told not to eat of a certain tree. For the most part, man has not had a problem with the first rule. But, it didn't take long for man to violate the second rule. If the Creator did not want to be obeyed by man, He would not have given consequences for disobedience, and there would not have been any need for the curses in Genesis 3.

The Ten Commandments are based on God's Creational Law. The first of which was to not have any other gods except the Creator. The second is a prohibition of idolatry. the third was to not take the Creator's name in vain. The fourth was to keep the seventh day set apart for rest because on the seventh day the Creator rested.

The fifth is to honor father and mother. The Creator established the family unit when He created male and female and told them to be fruitful and multiply. The male and female became parents. Since we see that obedience is important to the Creator, it stands to reason He would want children to obey their parents. After all, He is the Father of the first Adam, and wanted His son to obey Him.

The sixth is you shall not murder. The Creator created life, and it is His right to give or take life as He sees fit. No one has the right to take a life that has been given by God.

The seventh is you shall not commit adultery. Talking about the family unit again that the Creator established in creation.

The eighth is a prohibition of stealing. The Creator gave the garden to Adam, and gave him dominion over that garden. This, I believe establishes property rights. When the Creator gives property, only He has the right to take it.

The ninth is do not bear false witness. The serpent came to Eve and he bears false witness. We see the result of what he did.

The tenth is do not covet. When the serpent came to Eve and tells her that she would be like God knowing good and evil. Eve ate of that tree out of covetousness, and Adam followed in that transgression.

In creation, the Creator established how life on earth is supposed to work. And, for the most part, creation works as it was intended But man has violated God's Creational Law in the garden, and has been violating Creational Law ever since. And, the Creator devised a plan to redeem man, and that was to come to earth in the flesh and go to the cross to be the propitiation for the sins of of all mankind since the fall. And all of it has it's Genesis in creation.

Also, Romans 1. 18-32 is also based on creation. Verse 20 states, "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power, and Godhead, so they are without excuse."

Have you ever looked at Genesis 1 and considered what invisible attributes of God that are clearly seen, and understood by what is made? How about the power of His Word? "Let there be light, and there was light." Even though there was no sun, moon or stars, there was light. And that surely establishes the power of the Creator's Word. And it is by that Word that the purpose for creation is established.

This also validates what is written about the Word in John 1.

So, Genesis 1 actually validates everything to come after it. Destroy Genesis 1, and you invalidate everything that comes after. That is how important Genesis 1 is. It must not be taken lightly.

In Biblical parlance, sometimes the word "Word," is equivalent to the word, Law." Just look at it. "Let there be light." Is that not a command? "Be fruitful and multiply." Is that not also a command?

So, what Paul said in Romans 1.20 is absolutely correct. In creation we do see the Creator's invisible attributes. We see the power of His Word in a command structure. Hence, Creational Law.

This is a very interesting article. I have never looked at God's laws in this way before. Excellent description of the importance of Genesis 1.
