| Subject: The Problem With The Covenant Creation View of Genesis 1-3 Thu Oct 18, 2012 1:23 pm | |
| #002The truth is, there is no covenantal language in Genesis 1-3. God did not say to anyone, "I am making a covenant with you." Never said that to the trees, the rocks, the animals, the fish, or Adam. Nowhere did God say anything about making a covenant. There are no actions on Adam's part that suggested he entered a covenant with God. He didn't build an alter and didn't sacrifice any clean animals. And a covenant is not in force without the shedding of blood. There is just nothing in Genesis 1-3 that indicates a covenant. Nothing, nadda, ziltch. Nothing more needs to be said. I challenge any proponent of Covenant Creation to show otherwise. | |
