| Subject: How Should Christians Live Thu Mar 25, 2010 5:51 pm | |
| The answer to this question is variable in the realm of systematic theology. Some have very strict lifestyles, such as the Amish. But mainline denominations are more liberal to the point of allowing what are traditionally sinful lifestyles such as homosexuality. The majority, however, are probably somwhere in the middle of those two extremes. One thing that can be said for certain is that the New Testament is the guide for Christian living. As you may know, the word "Christian" means, "Christ-like." With that in mind, how then should we live. With Christ as our example, we should be loving. Did not Jesus give His all for His friends? Jesus healed people of their sicknesses and diseases. He taught about the kingdom. He fed the poor. So, should we not be compassionate people. But, there was another side to Jesus. He cleared the temple of the money-changers. So, things like that made Him angry. So should we get angry at today's money-changers? As Christians, if we want to know how we should live all we have to do is look how Jesus lived. | |
